The 10' pizza sells for $4.99 at my favorite pizza store. the store claims the have a great deal on a the 12'?

if the 10' is $4.99 and the 12' is $5.75 what is the per cent discount they are offering me?The 10' pizza sells for $4.99 at my favorite pizza store. the store claims the have a great deal on a the 12'?
The area of the pizza is pi r^2.

10 inch area = 100(pi), the 12 inch pizza area = 144(pi).

Based on the price of the 10 inch pizza the 12 inch one should cost $4.99 x 144/100 = $7.19

The discount is therefore $7.19 - $5.75 = $1.44

The percentage discount is therefore $1.44 / $7.19 x100% = 20% discount!!The 10' pizza sells for $4.99 at my favorite pizza store. the store claims the have a great deal on a the 12'?
Apologies

The diameter (not radius is 10 ins and 12 ins).

the radius of the 10 inch pizza is 5 inches and for the 12 inch pizza is 6 inches.

Area = pi r^2

Areas are 25(pi) and 36(pi)

Cost of 12 inch based on the 10 inch = 4.99 x36/25 = 7.19

discount = 7.19 - 5.75 = 1.44

% = 1.44/7.19 = 20%
