Find the area of each:
2 medium pizzas: 2 x (pi x (6)^2) = 72 x pi
1 extra large pizza: 1 x (pi x (9)^2) = 81 x pi
Extra large is the better deal for the consumer based on the total area of the pizza that they are paying for.

pie* = pi(r^2) ... plug and chug for both cases, and compare areas.
*As in pizza pie. I think I am the only person on here to use this in the right context with the right spelling !!!!!
