The $5 pizza deal the larger chains are doing, are those pizzas made differently than how they make $12 ones?

I wonder if theyre using old batter or something..eek!!The $5 pizza deal the larger chains are doing, are those pizzas made differently than how they make $12 ones?
Commercial chains can usually sell stuff at a cheaper price for a number of reasons.

1. They have higher traffic so they make up for less profit per pizza by having higher volume.

2. Because of 1. they can buy ingredients in larger bulk for a lower price. Oh and yes the ingredients at a chain restaurant aren't always of the highest grade. It's not bad, it's just cheap.

3. Many businesses don't make their profit off of their main item (i.e. Best Buy doesn't make a profit off of video game consoles, they make it off of the video games and accessories). I wouldn't be surprised if places like Pizza Hut make most of their profit off of soda and side dishes. Most places make like 1000% profit on soda.
That's a very good question, I don't think the pizzas are made differently than those of non- commercial pizza places. I just think that because more people buy from commercialized pizza businesses they can afford to have deals such as the 5 dollar deal. The $5 pizza deal the larger chains are doing, are those pizzas made differently than how they make $12 ones?
No, it's just sometimes the number of topics you can get are fewer than the $12 pizza.
All I can say is that we love the $5 pizza from Little Ceasars. It is also nice to just stop go in grab a pizza and go.
They are the same. I am feeding it to 5 grandchildren as we speak. There is a catch though, you have to get them and they are only cheese or pepperoni pizzas. They are made in advance and you just walk in and get them, pay for them and leave. But it brings in customers and we often get something else too. Like one of my granddaughters only likes ground beef on her pizza so we had to pay extra for that one, and I don't like pizza so I always get a salad. One of my daughters is pregnant so pizza gives her heartburn so we always have to get bread sticks for her. So you see, it brings us in the door and we always spend extra which is the whole idea behind the offer.
the $5 pizzas are smaller
I don't think so. They seem the same.
Not to worry the promotional $5 pizza's use the same ingredients as do the higher priced pizza.

$5 pizza Promos are used by big chains to get the people "in the door". Once "in" you up sell by getting them to purchase higher priced items like soda, bread sticks, salad bars, desserts etc..

Pizza is one of the cheapest items to make and even at $5 bucks a pie the company still turns a respectable profit.
i have been in the pizza business for 12 years, mozzarella cheese is by far your most expensive item.there is low grade, cheap, oily cheese, and there is your more expensive higher grade, less oily cheese.cheap cheese can cost 1.70 per Pound where as good cheese can cost 2.75 a pound.bottom line is:cheap pizza=cheap ingredients
I work at Dominos. The pizzas are not different at all just because of the price. The people making the pizzas just see the pizzas pop up on the screen and they make it. They dont know what price is being paid for the pizza. The cost of a pizza is less than $5 so they still make a profit although it is much smaller than it would be full price, which for a medium one topping like the ones advertised for $5 is $8.99 at our store. You get the same amount of toppings on the same size pizza for almost half the cost. They do these great deals to win over customers and make them happy. If the customers get the pizzas for less money and get good service and a good product, they will be repeat customers. Repeat customers is the goal.
probably old stuff that's been sittin' around in the corner of the pizza kitchen
We have A Little Ceasers around the corner from our house. We buy the $5 and $7 hot-n-ready ( yes, that is what they are called) I find that there is not as much sauce and cheese as there is on a regular pizza. And just for added info: Health Canada would never allow any restaurant to use old stuff! Hmmm... but we would never know!
Nope. There is just usually a catch. Like you only get one topping, or you have to buy multiple pizzas to get the deal
NO.
Pizza should carry a government health warning. My arteries are furring up just thinking about it.
