How much do you tip the pizza guy?

Ok so I work in a restaurant and we expect 20% on sit down orders and at least 10% on togo orders I order pizza once a week or so and I usually get a family deal it is 2 pizzas bread and soda for $22.00 plus a delivery charge of $2.00 what is the right amount to tip. Please all of you who are going to say you don't tip just don't answer I don't agree I would think it was at least %10 Thanks in Advance! How much do you tip the pizza guy?
I always tip five dollars regardless. What many people do NOT know or understand (SWEET JANE THIS IS FOR YOU) is that the pizza delivery guy does NOT get ANY of the delivery fee, that goes back to the restaurant all they get is TIPS. They use their car their gas and get less than minimum wage so be generous and thoughtful. Also if you don't tip or tip badly you will get an unwanted bonus on your pizza (they always remember those who don't tip or who tip badly)guaranteed...so be nice!
$2 bones. How much do you tip the pizza guy?
Well i live in a 3rd floor walk up, i give him $2..
I would tip the pizza guy at least $5.00 and if it's raining a few dollars more.
Generally, pizza deliverers make more than servers on an hourly basis (because of the amount of wear and tare on the car and higher gas prices). As a result, you see some pretty expensive pizza (like the amount you quoted).

On a typical night at a busy restaurant, 15-20 deliveries is a fair amount. Generally, the pizza guy will be making 1 dollar for every delivery plus a wage around 6 dollars. So far that makes for 6(hours)*6(dollars) = 36 + 15(deliveries @ 1) = 51 dollars for a 6 hour shift. In that amount of time $20 dollars will be used in gas, which brings us to a grand total of 51-20 = $31 for the shift (which comes out to about 5.16 an hour).

Calculate the tip. 3 dollars at everyplace is a great night. 15*3 = 45 + 31(total from wages - gas) = $76.

12.66 an hour minus taxes... 10.75 an hour.

For comparison a 2 dollar tip would be $51. $7.10/hour after taxes.
If the pizza is reasonably on time, I round up to the nearest 5.00 on the bill. If the bill is $21.42, I pay him 25 to keep the change. If the total is close to the next 5 (such as $24.67) making it stingy to do this, then I toss in about 3 bucks over the total and let them keep the change.

Add on more in bad weather or on a crazy day like Superbowl Sunday...even if people are just doing their job and you didn't cause their day to be off the hook, it is harder to do their job well on those days, and when they do, it doesn't hurt to acknowledge it.

Sweet Sweet Jane, as always tipping is for service. Just because there is a delivery charge on your pizza doesn't mean the delivery person will see it. Gas is high and services varies greatly among people offering them. If the person is neat and clean and friendly and fast, with a smile on, they deserve a decent tip.
i worked at a pizza place for 3 years in school, drivers do NOT make more than servers an hour, they barely make minumum wage, they have to use gas, wear and tear on their car etc. DONT order pizza if you dont tip, trust me, they remember who does and does not tip, so if your pizza is cold, late, etc dont be surprised, also, you may get a little extra on the pizza...same with expecting free orders or order right before close...trust me just pick it up if youre not going to tip or complain! and if you say you cant afford to tip, you cant afford pizza, the 20 you spend on pizza can buy bread and lunch meat to last a week
Normally about 10% of the order (min$2 + delivery charge) with 15-20%(+delivery charge) for larger or more complicated orders.
idk i would i just tip him like 5 bucks and get on with life its just the pizza guy anyway! they do get payed from there boss. tips dont realy matter to pizza guys. they think of it like oh thanks lady ill just go buy my self a pack of gum now bye!!

that is so how they think

MEN!!
If there's a 2 dollar delivery charge (because they usually get at leat half) 2-3 dollars, if not 4 or 5 - they are doing you a service, and it beats on their car and they pay for gas.
$5
I'd give $2 or $3, but not more than that since you said there is a delivery charge already tacked on. If I wasn't aware of the delivery charge...probably $4 or $5.
10-15% UNLESS it is a national chain that already includes a delivery fee in your total....I know Pizza Hut and Dominoes do this...ask if yours does....they should tell you up front.
$2
2 bucks
$3-5 DEPENDING ON THE SERVICE
i tip my pizza guys, and girls 2$.....
I usually leave about a $4-5 tip for pizza
I always tip depending on how much change I would otherwise get. For example, if I my order came to $24, I would give the girl a $10 and a $20, and she would keep the change. It would be $6 in that case.
two dollars
