I mean, out of all the possible toppings the world has to offer, why do so many people criticise people who put pineapple on pizza??What's the big deal with pineapple on pizza?
I personally never liked Pizza because it fills you
but has no nutrition facts.
The thing is,pineapple makes pizza wet and it's
not anymore a Pizza D.O.C. (originale Napolitana),
anyway,it's the question of personal taste.
Two of the MAIN tastes in all food are sweet %26amp; sour. Pineapple possesses both of these attributes.
Pineapple is Very popular as an ingredient on pizza. Having been in the Biz since the mid 1970's, I've seen it's popularity increase over the years. " Hawaiian " pizza, originally Canadian Bacon %26amp; Pineapple, is more commonly Ham %26amp; Pineapple now. The MAIN reason for that change is that REAL Canadian Bacon has increased in price, substantially over the years and many people can't tell the difference when it's on pizza OR aren't willing to pay for the difference in pizza cost.
Pineapple, because it is considered a " Wet " ingredient, it tends to release it's moisture while being cooked and that flavor travels across the pizza. If you get a 1/2 %26amp; 1/2 pizza, the 1/2 that doesn't have it will still taste like it does in almost all cases. { Like Anchovies, Shrimp %26amp; some others. } Remember this if one person hates it, you're screwing-up their food too. What's the big deal with pineapple on pizza?
Personally, I like anything that can be put on a pizza to be put on a pizza, including pineapple.
No anchovies though. |:
Pineapple always goes with cheese, especially a good mature scottish cheddar - either on a pizza or in cubes on a cocktail stick. Yummy!
I like Hawaiian pizza a lot.
A real pizza has pepperoni, sauce and cheese. Only girls and people who suck at eating pizza put pineapple on it.
It's epicene.
No idea. I like ham and pineapple pizzas.
Who knows? I personally like it and so do alot of people I know
I don't criticize anyone who likes it. Just not my thing.
